Our mission is to support, strengthen, inspire and connect East Idaho families in home-centered education through yearly conferences.

Vision

The vision of EIHE is to become, through annual conferences, a hub and resource through which homeschool families connect, communicate and coordinate to build a stronger community.  Our hope is that individual families and groups will be able to come together to learn and share ideas, have an event to look forward to where helpful information and support is offered, and everyone can find help and their tribe.  We also envision a youth conference where young adults can connect, for friendships, and be inspired as they endeavor to gain a great education.

Philosophy

We believe that parents are the primary family educators, to educate their family as they see fit, whether they choose private, parochial, or public, or a home-based education. We strive to unite East Idaho home-based educating families as they stand together to defend our God-given right to educate our own children. We unite to ensure that the State of Idaho will retain its hands-off, parent-led home education status.
 
We consider ourselves a non-denominational, principle-based organization. We believe: Love God first and foremost, serve, and love your neighbor (community) as yourself.

2025 CONFERENCE

Join EIHE for our second annual home educators conference in Pocatello, Idaho on January 17-18 2025.  We are excited to be hosting a two day conference for youth and adults.

This year we are offering complimentary tickets to the adult conference for grandparents of homeschooled grandchildren and new homeschoolers of preschool children (*eldest child not over 5 years old).

KRIS DAY
PRESIDENT

Kris Day is an outdoor enthusiast, using Idaho as the outdoor Mecca it is, and has had a life filled with adventure. She is an artist creating interesting 3D art assemblages and purposeful art upcycling used and discarded objects. She is an opportunist, which has taken her to several countries and all 50 states.

Kris married Allen Day. They have 6 talented children and 12 grandchildren. She loves and witnesses of Jesus Christ, that he knows us and cares what we do, and that families are forever.

She believes in vision boards and living on purpose. After 15 years of school, she was starved for knowledge. She wanted to be in control, to know, go, and do on her own terms. So, she’s self and family-educated since marriage, which has taken them near and far. She affirms, “The best thing I ever did for myself was home school my kids.”

Adrianne Elliott is a dedicated mother of four beautiful children, a loving spouse to her husband, and the proud owner of two beloved dogs. Family is the cornerstone of her life, and she finds immense fulfillment in homeschooling her children, nurturing their curiosity and love for learning. Beyond her family roles, Adrianne is an avid reader and a passionate cook and baker, constantly exploring new recipes in the kitchen. Her deep appreciation for nature leads her to spend leisurely hours hiking, gardening, or simply unwinding in a hammock. With a passion for goal-setting, Adrianne is a dedicated mentor and life coach, committed to helping others reach their full potential. With a college degree in her repertoire, she is a perpetual learner and shares her insights and knowledge through her blog. Originally hailing from Idaho Falls, ID, Adrianne embraces her roots as the eldest of eight siblings, a role that has shaped her values and worldview.
